By downloading, installing, or using RegexCraft (“the Software”), you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
1. Ownership and source
The Software, its source code, private development documentation, branding, and related materials are proprietary to Marshall Moorman. This Agreement does not transfer ownership. Source code is not licensed for public copying, redistribution, or creation of derivative works except as expressly allowed for your use of the distributed binaries.
2. Personal / non-commercial use
You may use the Software free of charge for personal, non-commercial, hobby, educational, and evaluation purposes on computers you own or control.
3. Business / commercial use
Use for business, commercial, organizational, government, or revenue-generating work requires a paid commercial license (one-time purchase; see Pricing). Payment is on the honor system: there are no license keys, activation servers, or DRM.
4. What you may do
- Install and run the official distributed binaries on supported platforms.
- Use match results, generated code snippets, and exported data you produce with the Software in your own projects.
- Make reasonable backup copies of the binaries for your own use.
5. What you may not do
- Redistribute the Software as a competing product, SaaS, or public download.
- Reverse engineer for the purpose of creating a competing product (except where prohibited by law).
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices.
- Claim the Software is open source or MIT-licensed.
- Publish private development documentation or source from the private monorepo.
6. No warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the amount you paid for a commercial license (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Third-party components
The Software may include third-party libraries under their own licenses. Those licenses continue to apply to those components; this EULA governs RegexCraft as a product.
